NJ legislature will not consider on line public notices for 2 yrs ... NJ has highest tax burden ... Coincidence?

NJ State Senator President Steven Sweeney pronounced that the NJ legislature would not consider a bill moving public notices on line which would save the taxpayers $70 million for at least two years, it was reported in the Daily Record . Sweeney's reasoning? "I have determined that this legislation is simply not a priority and that it will not be revisited in any form.” In a parallel story, The Tax Foundation is planning on releasing its State Business Tax Climate Index on January 25. New Jersey has consistently ranked at the top of their list with the worst tax burden on individuals.

Connection?:

A  disregard for saving the taxpayers money appears to be symptomatic of the country's most burdensome state for taxes.
